Micro-needle mesotherapy, or micro-puncture, which involves pricking the skin with tiny needles and injecting active substances through the resulting channels, is by no means a new procedure. This method, which has been used for years, is an effective therapeutic option for treating a wide variety of skin problems - from loss of firmness to increased pore visibility to hyperpigmentation or scarring. However, it is not recommended for active inflammatory dermatoses.
In the past, micro-needle mesotherapy used rollers that were passed over the skin. Today, such solutions are not preferred, and instead of these tools, automatic equipment shaped like a large marker - a pen - is used. They are much more precise in terms of depth than rollers, eliminate the problem of skin tugging, and by using disposable tips it is easier to maintain proper asepticism, which is necessary for safe execution of the procedure.
Pen micropuncture alone, performed at the appropriate depth, stimulates collagen production, causes skin congestion and tightens the skin. Discomfort accompanying this procedure is slight to moderate, depending on the pain threshold. It is possible to work on the eye area during the procedure. It is possible to be anesthetized before the procedure, although the results achieved without anesthesia are assessed as better.
Post-treatment recommendations include, first and foremost, maintaining proper hygiene and asepticism - skin undergoing microneedling is more susceptible to complications from contaminants. It is important to refrain from touching the face, hugging pets, and applying makeup for a minimum of 24 and preferably 48 hours. Any items touching the face should be disinfected before use, and bed covers should be changed. In addition, we suggest refraining from exercise or saunas during recovery. Care recommendations for the use of active substances are individually selected to meet the needs of patients before and after the procedure.
Microneedling Glow, a proprietary microneedling protocol available only at Anna Smorąg Clinic, is a combination therapy that we created to offer the greatest possible effectiveness with a shortened recovery. It begins by irradiating the treatment area covered with a special mask using an LED lamp with a specific wavelength of light. The mask contains special pigments that, by capturing the lamp's light, transmit energy to the skin's chromophores, so that already before the treatment the skin is stimulated to synthesize collagen or reduce the severity of inflammation, depending on the mask used.
Microneedling at Microneedling Glow is performed with AQ Skin Solutions growth factors, which simultaneously stimulate the skin, increase skin tone and shorten the recovery period. However, that's not all. During the procedure, a second ampoule, which is individually selected and tailored to the needs of the specific patient, is also used. This allows for the best personalization of the treatment, which translates into better results. The treatment ends with the application of a post-treatment cream, and when performed during sunny hours, also a cream with SPF50+ sunscreen. Microneedling Glow allows you to work on many different areas and skin problems with one treatment.
Post-treatment recovery takes 24 to 48 hours, depending on the parameters of the treatment, the ampoules used, skin preparation and personal predisposition. After the treatment, within a few days an improvement can be observed in the reported problems - including skin tone, visibility of pores. In addition, there is a smoothing of the skin surface.
The suggested treatment series is 3 treatments at monthly intervals, but we suggest discussing the regimen with your doctor before treatment.
